There are 3 landfill sites in Calgary that are open 365 days a year where you can drop off your unwanted oil and latex paint products:

Spyhill Landfill Site - 69 Street & 112 Avenue NW

East Calgary Landfill Site - 17 Avenue & 68 Street SE

Shepard Landfill Site - 68 Street & 114 Avenue SE

For every gallon of recycled paint that is used it prevents 115 pounds of carbon from being released into the atmosphere.

Low VOC's - what does this mean?

Low VOCs, what does this mean? VOCs stand for Volatile Organic Compounds. What do they do? VOCs refer to the organic chemical compounds which have significant vapour pressures and have a huge negative effect on the environment. Environmentally friendly paint have a low VOC rating.
