Painting Tips

o

  1. Be sure to purchase enough ecocoat from the same batch #, which is listed on each pail, to complete your project.
  2. We do not recommend doing touch-ups while using ecocoat, instead paint from corner to corner to minimize any noticeable differences in the paint colour.
  3. Refer to the ecocoat coverage chart to calculate how much paint you will need for your project.
  4. ecocoat is not recommended on walked-on surfaces or direct to metal applications.
  5. There are only 14 colours of ecocoat, but by mixing 2 colours of ecocoat together you can come up with a whole new pallet of colours.
  6. ecocoat can be used anywhere you would use a virgin, low-sheen paint.
  7. ecocoat is available in 3 sizes; 3.78L, 10L & 18.9L. No matter what size of project you are painting ecocoat has the size of pail you will need to complete your application!
  8. Paint will not fill surface imperfections, be sure to properly prepare the surface to be painted. All holes and cracks should be repaired and then soft sanded so the surface is smooth. Ensure the surface is clean and clear of any dust and the surface is ready to be painted.
  9. When doing “touch-ups” use the same application tool you used to paint the original coating.
  10. Paint works best in a warm environment and is not very effective below 10⁰C.
